Dear Empower Friends:
As a company, we have been struggling with the decision to add our voices to the growing calls for change. We don’t want to detract from the voices of Black communities and leaders—and want to ensure those experiencing daily injustice are heard.
However, we decided we cannot remain silent about the brutal murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and countless more Black people. If Americans want to see lasting, systemic change today, it is important everyone speaks out. We want you to know:
Empower BodyCare condemns racism and unites with Americans for equality and justice.
At the same time, we recognize words are not enough, especially now. Our commitment begins with donating a portion of profits from our online sales this summer to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. We are also creating a long-term plan to partner with organizations actively advancing this important work. We are eager to share our plans in the coming weeks.
